Women around the world are disproportionately affected by climate change impacts because they constitute the majority of the world’s poor and are more dependent for their livelihoods on natural resources that are threatened by climate change.
At the same time, women’s unique knowledge and abilities are essential to help their households, communities, and nations adapt to climate change.
In order for us all meet the climate change, women need to be better represented at all levels of decision making.
The women you’ll meet in this video from the Pacific Island country of Vanuatu, are among those at the forefront of action!
A project of Vanuatu Climate Action Network. Funded by Oxfam Vanuatu. Produced by Island Reach.
